Independent Mastering, LLC is an independently owned and operated business, built on the time proven principals of integrity, enthusiasm and great service. We continue to be a leader in audio post and CD mastering for the simple fact that we love what we do and are passionate about quality audio.

We work with a wide variety of record labels, producers, artists, and engineers from around the world and with all types and genres of music, from Rock, Country, Americana, Bluegrass and Folk to R&B, Urban, Rap and Classical. At Independent Mastering, there are no second engineers, no interns, no bargain night shift, and we don’t “farm out” your job. When it’s mastered here, we do the work. There is no compromise.

Our mastering is performed with a wide range of state of the art digital workstations and vintage analog gear. Of course, we accept all forms of digital audio, from CDs, DATs, AIFFs and WAVs to Pro Tools sessions. For recordings on tape, baking is available and transfers can be made via a fully restored Ampex 351 with original electronics; 2, 3, or 4 track tape transfers are made to your preferred media. For disc transfers, we can delicately handle transcription lacquers or vinyl, preserving the musicality and performance. Our restoration work, featuring NoNOISE II and Cedar systems, conserves your tape or disc while bringing the sound up to date for today’s audiences.
