Janis Ian’s new autobiography is being accompanied by a double-CD set, mastered at Independent Mastering. Sony and Universal came through with the original analog source tapes for the early cuts, and we already had some of the masters from later albums like Billie’s Bones and Folk Is The New Black, which were done here at Independent. All in all, most of the 31 sides on these discs are from the original source material, or close to the original source. Janis is a stickler for quality and we love that!
